Five contract questions
01

What does one row mean?

02

How is the metric calculated?

03

How is quality reported?

04

What depends on this model?

05

Who approves and rolls back?

Connected does not mean usable

Tables and fields expose technical structure, not hidden filters, abbreviations, grain, or temporary corrections. A contract turns those assumptions into a shared boundary for producers, modelers, and consumers.

Declare grain and definitions first

State keys, grain, valid joins, filters, refund treatment, time zone, and effective date. An order table and an order-line table cannot be aggregated in the same way.

Expose quality to analysis

Missing, duplicate, delayed, and partial data need distinct states. BuildTable focuses publicly on AI-ready modeling and business semantics; exact validation, connector, and deployment scope require project confirmation.

Make the contract executable

Test types, uniqueness, row-count shifts, freshness, reconciled metrics, and join expansion. Keep versions, approvers, affected consumers, and rollback instructions so changed AI answers can be traced.
